hello cpl charlie...we are all awaiting word from CC but it seems he may be out of contact...so your guess is as good as mine...somebody sugested that we tag onto the JTR Rhyl reunion...what say you......cheers malcolm still working on a S11A FFR...

Cpl Charlie if you want to come straight up the A1 you can RV with me here( 3 miles from A1) we have a spare room if you come up on monday!wil take me about 3/4 hours going across the border roads to Dundonald! cheers malcolm

it looks like it will be a mini reunion i suppose we must start somewhere.will you be spending the night, it is no problem,we have a spare room with 2 beds and the caravan.just let me know how many are coming.happy days

well David thanks for that...as you know I also have a disabled person to look after (wife) so it will all depend on what cover I can get...I must admit I would like the idea of a few hours away from it all with perhaps a small drink thrown in for good measure...I will speak to Jock John and Sandy to se what they say...all ready for the big parade tomorrow..have been moving tables and chairs at the Barracks today ready for the main event....Im not marching tomorrow(ha ha ha) Im driving tail end charlie again!....best regards malcolm

well thats this years Minden Day Parade over and done with...very big turn this time and the people of Berwick turned out in there thousands to watch the march past...Saracen didnt make it to the parade as after starting wel went into splutering mode...fuel checked and a-ok must be the dizzie!my mate caqrried 2 old Chelsea Pensioners and I drove John Pender MM (he got his medal in the same battle as Bil Speakman in Korea)presented with Minden Rose by a very young Maj-General and thanked for attending!...now onto the next project...can anybody hazzard a guess(its pretty big!) also met up with 2 ex Troonies and one told me Reunion is Cancelled...nice to know! best regards malcolm

the ex Trooner at the KOSB Minden Day Parade said another ex Troonie had phoned him and said reunion was off because nobody had booked...I said thats rubbish as 45 had booked!cheers malcolm

had Cpl Jock Turner on the blower he cant make it due to family circumstances!dont think I wil be able to stay the night unless I can get cover for my wife...however Ive blagged an RAF driver for the day so I will be able to partake in a dram or two...cheers malcolm

Morning All, unfortunatally will not be able to make the re-union my disabled daughter has to go in hospital for major surgary on her spine, sorry but hope you all have a good time and not be to hung over!!. Will try and get up for the next one.

its looking dodgy for me also...wife has to go into the Wansbeck for minor surgery...there is not a week goes by when Im not in one hospital or another!still hopefully this will meen that the nurse dosnt have to come in every morning and I can get an extra 30 mins in bed!however al is not lost still working on it...never say die..under the circumsyances Id better rephrase that.....hang loose and see what happens cheers malcolm

gents,i would like nothing better than to drive up and meet up,but i am going on holiday on the 12 sept,unbeknown to us my 3 sons have paid for a fortnight in spain for my wife and i [and i am bloody well going] first proper holiday in 15 years,malcolm i promise when i get back i will drive up to berwick for a chinwag then we will see what happens for future meetings hopefully.

malcolm,and all interested parties,since friday i have been trying to locate the 2 chrises,chris copland is not in the phone book,according to this site chris has a hosting site[dont ask i dont know]i tried the contact number for this site,the line is discontinued.there is a private address but i am not sure what to do about checking this out yet.chrisgad is just not responding to any messages at all,even on an other site i know he has not been on since febuary,[does anybody know his surname]then i will check the phone book.anymore sugestions please.
